The Two People Behind Riverbend

Vanessa Harris and her husband Dan own the company, price the work, and stand on the job sites. There is no layer between you and them, and this page explains why we built it that way.

Riverbend Hill Country Homes is based in Dripping Springs, Texas, and owned and operated by Vanessa Harris and her husband Dan. Vanessa came to residential building from luxury hospitality construction, where she planned and delivered resort and spa projects for hotel brands. Dan manages the field. The company intentionally takes a small number of projects at a time.
Where the Standard Comes From

Quality Learned Where It Could Not Hide

Before Riverbend, Vanessa planned and delivered multi-million-dollar hospitality projects, the kind of construction where thousands of paying guests judge the finish every single day.

  • Hilton Orlando ResortResort construction
  • Trellis Spa at The HoustonianHouston
  • Hotel Galvez SpaGalveston
  • Stonedrift Spa at Eagle RidgeIllinois
  • Fiori SpaSpa build-out

That is the training she brought home to residential work, and it is why the primary suites we deliver tend to feel the way a good spa does.

The Other Half

Dan Holds the Field

Every project has two sides: the decisions and the dirt. Vanessa owns the client side, the design coordination, and the finishes. Dan manages the trades, the schedule on the ground, and the daily standard of the site itself.

Some clients ask what it is like to hire married business partners. The honest answer: the two people accountable to your project are never far from the same conversation, so nothing waits for a Monday meeting.

Why We Stay Small

A Few Projects, Run in Person

Vanessa lives in Dripping Springs with her family, and the company only takes work within about an hour of town. That radius is not a marketing choice. It is the maximum distance at which two owners can genuinely show up, week after week, for every client.

Growing past that would mean hiring the project managers this company was built to avoid. We would rather turn down good projects than run yours through a middleman.
